NASA is about the human experience of space. It is about people going to live, work, and thrive in an eminently challenging environment. Space Grant, a national network of 52 university-based Space Grant Consortia, funds research, education, and public service projects. Their efforts in the fields of education across the spectrum contribute to the development of a trained workforce through support of new and innovative ways of encouraging learning in science and technology. All Space Grant programs emphasize the diversity of human resources, the participation of students in research, and the communication of the benefits of science and technology to the general public.
