Learn More About Fort Wayne’s African-American/Black Healthcare Professionals

(Fort Wayne, Feb. 15, 2008) -- The Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Northeast Indiana Area Health Education Center (NEI-AHEC) will host "African-American/Black Healthcare Professionals: Past, Present, and Future" Monday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the NEI-AHEC Training Room in the Lafayette Medical Center, 2700 S. Lafayette Street, Suite 100. The session is free and open to the public.

The program will include a presentation on the history of black healthcare professionals in Fort Wayne by Rubin Brown, docent of the African/African-American Historical Museum. After the presentation, students in grades K through 12 interested in becoming healthcare professionals can network with current black healthcare professionals.
