History, Faith, Poetry and Hip Hop Topics of IPFW UniversityReligious Forum

(Fort Wayne, Feb. 11, 2008) -- Hip hop and more are the topics of the February Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) University Religious Forum. Reverend E. Anne Henning Byfield will discuss "History, Faith, Poetry and Hip Hop--Keeping It Real!" Thursday, Feb. 21, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Gates Center, Room 104. The forum is free and open to the public. A simple lunch is served; donations are accepted. Reservations are not necessary.

Rev. E. Anne Henning Byfield is the presiding Elder of the South District, Indiana Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She has 30 years of governmental and private sector experience and oversees 26 churches encompassing the central and southern areas of Indiana. Sponsored by Campus Ministry, the University Religious Forum is part of a monthly lecture series open to the campus and the community during which contemporary, provocative topics are explored and discussed from a spiritual perspective.
