2008 Tapestry to Award Two Full Scholarships

(Fort Wayne, Feb. 8, 2008) -- "Tapestry-A Day for Women" is a program designed to offer renewal and self-growth to women of all ages, through educational, motivational, and inspirational programs designed to entertain in an atmosphere of camaraderie. Tapestry also raises money to fund scholarships. Attendees and sponsors in the past six years have helped build the Tapestry scholarship endowment to over $160,000. This year two Tapestry Parkview Health Sciences Scholarships will be awarded to IPFW nursing or radiography students, which will include tuition and books up to $7,000.

Applications for the health sciences scholarships can be obtained at www.ipfw.edu/hhs/resources/scholarships.shtml, on campus in Neff Hall, Room 120, or by calling 260-481-4187. The application deadline is March 14, 2008.

The 2008 Tapestry day will offer experts on topics from gardening to the latest trends in women's health, from dancing to financial planning, from inner beauty to outer beauty. The featured speakers include Zonya Focco, dietitian, and celebrity Marie Osmond.

The 2008 "Tapestry-A Day for Women" will be held April 25, 2008 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. For more information visit www.ipfw.edu/tapestry, or contact Jennifer Bosk at 260-481-6807.
