(Fort Wayne, April 25, 2008) -- Sasha Oster and Stacy Pyle received a 2008 Parkview Tapestry Scholarship today at this year's "Tapestry: A Day for Women" event. Oster and Pyle received a full year tuition scholarship at Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The criteria for these scholarships include a high grade point average, commitment to the health sciences program through employment, and volunteer work or membership in related organizations. Tapestry has raised over $160,000 in the past six years to fund the endowed Parkview Tapestry Scholarship for women studying in health science fields.

She is involved with Campus Ministry, the Honors Program, and the Center for Academic Success and Advancement at IPFW, where she provides five hours of personal tutoring per week. She works part time as a patient care tech at both Parkview Health and Millers Merry Manor. Sasha will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009, and plans to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing in order to reach her career goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.
