Ricoeur and Kant’s Philosophies of Religion Topic of April IPFW Philosophy Colloquium
(Fort Wayne, April 10, 2008) -- The philosophy of religion based on philosophers Paul Ricoeur's and Immanuel Kant's theories will lead the discussion for the April Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Philosophy Colloquium. David Pellauer will speak about "Ricoeur on Kant's Philosophy of Religion" Thursday, April 24, at noon in the Classroom-Medical Building, Room 14. It is free and open to the public.
Pellauer is a professor of philosophy at DePaul University. He will explore Ricoeur's readings of Kant on the philosophy of religion, particularly Religion within the Boundaries of Mere Reason, to show how and why, in the end, Ricoeur disagrees with Kant.
