Visit the Wonders and Mysteries of Egypt

(Fort Wayne, November 12, 2007) -- Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is offering a noncredit program, Egypt: Wonders and Mysteries, to anyone from the campus or community at large. The 12-day adventure will be May 15-27, 2008. The cost of the trip is $3,900, including a $500 nonrefundable deposit which is required by Dec. 13, 2007, and the balance is due by March 6, 2008. The program supports the university’s mission of offering diverse learning opportunities to members throughout the service region.

Egypt is filled with wonders—a mixture of both ancient and modern—which combined with its fascinating history and intriguing culture make it one of the most captivating destinations in the world. The pyramids, temples, and the Sphinx represent ancient Egypt while Alexandria and Cairo characterize the modern advances of the country. It is probably the world’s oldest civilization, having emerged from the Nile Valley around 3100 BC, and it boasts some of mankind’s earliest triumphs. Egypt, a country bustling with life, sound, and visual beauty, begs to be explored.

Egypt: Wonders and Mysteries includes airfare from Chicago, five nights accommodation in Cairo, a five-day deluxe Nile Cruise, two nights in Luxor, and a deluxe sightseeing mini-coach with an English-speaking Egyptologist guide throughout the trip. The public is invited to take this exciting journey and discover why Egypt has been the playground of emperors and kings for thousands of years.
