18th Annual Health Fair is 100 Percent Fad Free
(Fort Wayne, March 21, 2007) -- How healthy are you? You can find out by coming to the 18th annual IPFW Health Fair Wednesday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Walb Student Union Ballroom. More than 40 health screenings will be available, many at no cost. There will also be more than 100 information displays staffed by highly qualified professionals.
Throughout the day there will be 100 percent fad-free cooking demonstrations by IPFW students from the Hospitality, Tourism, and Management Club; Chef Tony and Stephanie Rau, registered dieticians from Scotts Food and Pharmacy; and by Dave Sassanella of the Hyatt Place and other members of the Hospitality Alumni for Health.
Some of the free screenings include blood sugar, blood pressure, body fat, heart health, oral health, and vision. Mammography screening by Francine's Friends Mobile Mammography will be available to those who qualify and call 260-483-1847 for appointments.
The health fair is sponsored by IPFW/Parkview Health and Wellness Clinic; Department of Athletics, Recreation, and Intramural Sports; Student Life, and the Student Government Association.
