IPFW Hosts Hispanic Heritage Month Activities
(Fort Wayne, Sept. 23, 2005) -- Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Multicultural Services is hosting events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Unless otherwise noted, events are free and open to the public. The purpose of these events is to celebrate, educate, and expose the IPFW community and general public to the diversity within the Hispanic/Latino cultures.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
- “Chile and Bolivia: Exploring South America,” 11 a.m., Walb Student Union, Room G21, movie and discussion.
- Salsa/merengue lessons with Hispanos Unidos (fee required), 6—8 p.m., Walb Student Union Ballroom.
Thursday, Sept. 29
- “Why Do We Need Each Other?,” 5 p.m., Walb Student Union, Room 222, Hispanic and African American students’ panel discussion.
Tuesday, Oct. 4
- “Ecuador and Peru: Exploring South America," 11 a.m., Walb Student Union, Room G21, movie and discussion.
Saturday, Oct. 8
- Trip to the Eighth Annual Midwest Hispanic Student Leadership Conference in Chicago (fee required)
