Dr. Erbelding taught chemistry from 1968 until his accidental death in 1983. He was born on March 20, 1927 in Chili, New York. He died of injuries received when he was struck by a truck near Plymouth, Indiana. He received degrees from University of Rochester (B.S., 1947) and Cornell University (Ph.D., 1961). His area of research was analytical chemistry.
