Categories: People

Ms. Kerns was an assistant librarian from 1969 to 1977. She was one of the first librarians to negotiate and carry out an exchange with another librarian abroad. She traded jobs with Ruth Melling from North London Polytechnic. Her experience was the precedent for several other exchanges that took place between librarians from I.U. and abroad. Ms. Kerns received degrees from College of William and Mary (A.B., 1945) and Indiana University (M.L.S., 1971).
