Dr. Scott came to IPFW in 1968 and retired in 2001 as an associate professor emeritus of history. He received degrees from University of Northern Iowa (A.B., 1959) and University of Iowa (A.M., 1960; Ph.D., 1968). His areas of research included the history of the American west, the Vietnam conflict, American social thought, and ethnic conflict in America. He is the author of Lester Frank Ward (Twayne, 1976). Professor Scott chaired the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Committee.
