Mr. Stewart came to LRC as part of a program that placed people in positions on a free basis, with the hope that those with whom they were placed would hire them. He was hired by LRC as a graphic artist. He was formerly a B52 pilot in World War II, and in his last mission brought his plane and crew back to safety by a belly-landing on the runway. Mr. Stewart died on June 5, 1999.
