Dr. Ator came to IPFW in 1973 and retired in 2002 as associate professor of music in the School of Fine and Performing Arts. A saxophonist, his degrees were from Drake University (B.M.E., 1960), Wichita State University (M.M., 1964), and North Texas State University (D.M.A., 1971).
