But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Romeo is the sun.

Wait a second, that’s not how it goes! Well, imagine swapping the two title roles in Shakespeare’s beloved Romeo and Juliet. That is, what if Juliet is instead a bold Montague who courts a young, sheltered Capulet by the name of Romeo? Local playwright and IPFW English major Jack Cantey considers just that in his new version of the play. Actors will read a selection of scenes from this new adaptation, followed by a panel discussion focusing on Shakespeare,
gender, and language.
