Paul Helmke, former president of the Brady Campaign and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, spoke about, "Tragedy in Tucson - Impact on Gun Legislation and the Accessibility of Elected Officials."
Helmke discussed changes the public and elected officials will need to consider in our post-Tucson environment. He examined the tragedy's effect on decisions concerning interactions between elected officials and the public as well as how to balance concerns about gun rights with those of public safety.
