Software Licensing

Historically, IPFW has negotiated licensing independently, as well as through IU and PU West Lafayette. Because of the realignment, IPFW will no longer be eligible for licensing through IU.

Microsoft Office Suite

Personal Use

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office products are currently available via IUware on up to 2 personal devices. Before July 1, 2018 Office products will be available via IPFW’s Office 365 on up to 5 personal devices.

University Use

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office products are currently available to install via IPFW Software Center/IPFW Applications for Windows/macOS on all university owned devices.

Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud

Personal Use

Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and other Adobe products are currently available via IUware on up to 2 personal devices. IT Services is researching the possibility of providing Adobe products on personal devices beyond June 30, 2018.

University Use

Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Adobe Professional, and other Adobe products are currently available to install via IPFW Software Center/IPFW Applications for Windows/macOS on all university owned devices. IT Services is researching options for providing Adobe products on university owned devices beyond June 30, 2018.

Math, Statistical, and Research Software

Personal Use

Maple, Mathematica, Minitab, SAS, SigmaPlot and SPSS are currently available through IU. IT Services is researching the possibility of providing these products on personal devices beyond June 30, 2018.

University Use

Maple, Mathematica, Minitab, SAS, SigmaPlot and SPSS are currently available to install via IPFW Software Center/IPFW Applications for Windows/macOS on all university owned devices. IT Services is researching options for providing these products on university owned devices beyond June 30, 2018.
