Project Overview:

All faculty/staff will continue to utilize Office 365/O365/Outlook email system.  Once permission has been received from the Higher Learning Commission, their email accounts will all be transitioned to a new email address (PFW.edu) before July 1, 2018.

Reasoning Behind the Change:

On July 1, 2018 our Fort Wayne campus will officially become a Purdue campus.  This transition will require ITS to change all email addresses to coincide with the new name.

December 2017 Hard timeline confirmed
February 2018 Testing (once HLC approval has been received)
March 2018 Notification of Next Steps
April 2018 Transition for Faculty/Staff

Our project team is working within a small window due to the Higher Learning Commission’s (HLC) timing (they meet in February/March).  Due to the requirements regarding the name change which includes address and architectural revamps, all activity must take place between HLC’s approval (March) and July 1, 2018.


Email addresses will change from IPFW.edu to PFW.edu, and all references to them must be updated.
