Or, if you do not like taking the quiz, you could turn in the assignment (the ODD numbers only) by the FOLLOWING Tuesday. Some people actually do both to improve their quiz grade. You can turn your homework in person (drop off at my office), by email, fax or regular mail.

EXAMS: There will be three one-hour exams and a two-hour comprehensive final. All exams are proctored. If you live in the area, you will most likely take the tests at IPFW. Tentative Schedule

Use the Lecture Notes provided in Blackboard and the textbook to study the material following the schedule below. Each section contains a homework assignment. You DO NOT have to turn in these assignments (unless you do it for quiz credit or extra credit), but I highly recommend that you work every problem since the weekly quizzes and the exams are based on them. You will be able to take the quiz only once, starting on Thursday through the Sunday of each week.

NOTES:          1.You might want to review Chapter 0, especially if it has been a while since your last Math class.

                                    2. To fit more information on the computer screen try increasing the resolution (for ex. 1024 x 768, or above)

                                    3. To print the lecture notes use the link called Printable Version.

                                    4. Helmke Library has a collection of MA 229 videotapes on reserve, that can be used to understand difficult concepts or view solved examples.
