Option: Mathematics with Computer Option

Career Aspirations: Brian is interested in enrolling in IPFW=s Master=s program studying applied mathematics with the goal of becoming a mathematics instructor.

Why Chose Math: Brian has always enjoyed math and problem solving while growing up. He knew mathematics would be involved in his future when in high school he would do problems that weren=t assigned just for the fun of it. He also has a strong desire to know how or why something works and believes that mathematics is the tool to get him there.

Why Chose IPFW: Brian chose IPFW because of the excellent Mathematics department and because it had a program in combining mathematics with computer science. He discovered that it wasn=t the curricula and programs that make the department great but the faculty themselves who play a big role in making the college experience enjoyable and fulfilling.

Interests/Hobbies: Brian enjoys playing chess, RPG/strategy PC games and working out at the health club.

Best Experience at IPFW: There were many enjoyable experiences at IPFW however Brian=s best experience was being a charter member of PI MU EPSILON

Proudest Accomplishment: Although Brian=s best experience is yet to come graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics and an A.S. in Computer Science has been the best so far.

What do you want people to know about you: Brian is married to Shawn who has given him a lot of support and encouragement. They have a pet giant chinchilla named Annie. Brian also works as a software engineer at a local manufacturing company.
