What to Expect
- When you make an appointment with your advisor you will have about 45 minutes to discuss your academic progress, class selection, and other issues related to your academic success.
- You can make an appointment with your assigned advisor, but if you have made a connection with another advisor or your schedule works better with the available time of another advisor you are free to meet with any advisor in the Mastodon Advising Center.
- Be prepared to discuss your current classes and other issues such as employment, commuting distance, and other circumstances that may influence selection of classes, the registration process, and other academic issues.
- Be an active participant in the advising process. Seek advice and recommendations about courses and course sequencing. Your advisor is there to assist you in your choices but remember, the final decision is yours.
