Welcome to Liberal Studies

Though the term has a decidedly political sound to it, Liberal Studies simply refers to the cultivation of general knowledge and the humanities. Hence, the Master of Liberal Studies degree has a strong interdisciplinary focus. With it, we bring together the three areas of the School of Arts and Sciences at IPFW: Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Natural Sciences.

In short, the Master of Liberal Studies program at IPFW allows students to design their own degree from among various disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences and, to an extent, in Fine and Performing Arts.
