ITCO History and Reports

The Steering Committee for Strategic Planning for Instructional Technologies (SPIT) originally proposed the creation of ITCO (pdf) as a subcommittee of the Information Technology Policy Committee (ITPC) based on a report (summary (pdf); full (pdf)) submitted to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on 22 May 2006. ITCO then submitted a proposal (pdf) to create a website that would serve as a clearinghouse for information about technology resources available at IPFW. In 2008, an ITCO task force revised the original proposal to create a website. The new proposal (pdf), on which this ITCO website is based, broadened the original proposal to include replacing a 2004 brochure entitled "Teaching and Learning Technology Support at IPFW Overview."

ITCO has compiled a set of statistics showing how faculty/staff calls to the IPFW Information Technology Services Helpdesk between 2006 - 2008 break down by the type of problem involved (pdf).

ITCO Recommendations

In Spring 2009, ITCO prepared a set of recommended priorities for the 2008-12 ITS Strategic Plan (pdf).

ITCO Reports

ITCO reports on its work to ITPC at least once each semester and brings policy and
funding questions to ITPC on an as-needed basis.
