How do I get access to student transcripts? Go to http://my.ipfw.edu and use your login to go to the MyIpfw “portal”. Click on the Faculty/Advisor tab, and then click on the “Online Access to Student Information System” link in the Oasis-Banner box in the upper right corner of the display of portal contents. Then follow the screens to the Advisor Menu.

Are advisors available online? Student may email advisors directly. Email addresses for Mastodon Advising Center can be found at http://www.ipfw.edu/mac/contact/staff.shtml.

How can my students get help with the hardware and software that they are using off-campus? Call the Help Desk at 481-6030, or email helpdesk@ipfw.edu. Contact information and hours of operations are found at http://www.its.ipfw.edu/support/default.shtml. The Help Desk does not offer support for non-university equipment and software. The Help Desk will try to assist with browser configuration, for example, to get online course access working, Helpdesk personnel cannot be expected to solve the many problems students encounter on their home equipment.

How do my students get help with using Blackboard Vista? Direct students to the documentation at http://elearning.ipfw.edu/documentation/students/default.html and to the STEPS workshops they can attend at the Center for Academic Support and Advancement (CASA) http://www.ipfw.edu/casa/steps/. Helpdesk personnel can also assist students who drop in to KT 206.

Students can attend STEPS workshops at the Center for Academic Support and Advancement (CASA) http://www.ipfw.edu/casa/steps/. You can also arrange for the Studio M Lab Coordinator to demonstrate multimedia software to your class. Call Studio M at 481-0114 or email studiom@ipfw.edu.
