Coming to a new country and culture as a German transfer student, I felt welcome from the first day at IPFW. IPFW is a great place to study. The campus is well arranged and has a good location, close to the dormitory, the coliseum and an apartment complex. The student community is formed by mainly young students and shows a great diversity with international students all over the world, which allows to get to know other cultures. Classes at IPFW are of small size, which allows great interaction among students and professors. For biology students, IPFW offers good laboratories and equipment, as well as field studies, to improve a student’s practical skills. Professors and staff are friendly and always willing to help their students in many ways. IPFW also offered me the opportunity to perform as a NCAA Division I athlete, next to receiving a great education. As a former member of the Women’s Basketball Team I had the chance to travel to many different places in the United States and represent the name IPFW around the country. The organization of the athletic events, as well as other festivities, really surprised me. It was not only fascinating, but also showed how close IPFW students, athletes, professors and staff work together and made my time at IPFW unforgettable.

IPFW is like my home away from home! People are so friendly and welcoming, I feel proud and privileged to be a student athlete here. There is an awesome mixture of fun, success, and school spirit. With an electric atmosphere on campus, I can confidently say I am proud to be a Don.

MengWei Li

IPFW has a beautiful campus. As an engineering student, the computers and the labs are great. We even have a coffee shop right in the building. The professors are friendly and they have enough office hours to answer each student's questions. Overall, I'm having a really good time studying at IPFW.

Adonay Mehreteab
- Major: Pre-Med (Biology/Chemistry)
- Country of Origin: Ethiopia
IPFW is like home away from home to me. I really enjoy the campus environment. One thing that is very exciting about IPFW is its location. It makes you feel connected to everything Fort Wayne has to offer. I have attained great friends that I'll cherish dearly. I found the classes to be flexible and exciting. A variety of subjects offered by great professors keeps me interested the whole semester. Unlike other schools that I attended, the tuition bill didn't make me cry my eyes out. It actually made me smile. I really enjoy being here and will continue studying here for higher educational goals.

Ali Okihiro

IPFW is a university with so many opportunities to become involved academically, athletically and in the community.
It is not difficult to branch out and make a variety of friends from different backgrounds.

Deepal Patel
- Major: Biology (Graduate)
- Country of Origin: England
I first attended IPFW as an undergraduate majoring in Biology. Once I completed my bachelor's degree and got my associate degree in chemistry, I looked into the graduate program so that I could further develop the research project that I began working on as an undergraduate. Being a student at IPFW gave me the opportunity to reinforce what I learned in the classroom with hands-on laboratory and field practice, making my career here a comprehensive experience.

Nhat Pham
- Major: Mathematics/Actuarial Science
- Country of Origin: Vietnam
I decide to study at IPFW because it has affordable prices, small classrooms, and a great mathematics department as well as great professors. IPFW also has a generation of young students who are driven, excellent, and very friendly. I always enjoy my stay here.

Fabiana Souza
- Major: Communications

Coming to the beautiful city of Fort Wayne has been a life changing experience to me. Before coming to IPFW, I never expected that I would learn so much about so many cultures in such a small period of time. Being able to attend a school that offers such great diversity has expanded my perspectives and has allowed me to adapt more successfully to our school community. Also, playing Division I volleyball and representing our school name throughout the country has surpassed my expectations and given me the opportunity to do what I love to do. With a great education and wonderful atmosphere, I have absolutely enjoyed my time here at IPFW and I hope to fulfill my goals of becoming a competent professional someday.

Regency Sharma
- Major: Audiology and Speech Pathology
- Country of Origin: India
All I can say is that I have had an awesome time here at IPFW. In addition to learning from top class faculty, I have learned much from the diverse variety of students I have made friends with. Studying at IPFW has definitely polished my social side, exposing me to a number of things I would never have experienced otherwise. The small town of Fort Wayne has now become a home away from home for me. I will always cherish the times I’ve spent here.

Josh Stewart
- Major: Math Education
- Country of Origin: Canada
As an international student-athlete, I have benefitted in a number of ways by choosing IPFW for my university education. The class sizes were small, which allowed for more individual attention from professors—most of whom will readily assist you outside of class. I also benefitted from on-campus facilities such as the numerous computer labs, the Writing Center, library and other services.
IPFW also offered me a chance to participate in NCAA Division I athletics as a member of the men’s volleyball team. Both athletics and education at IPFW allowed me to make a number of great friends and travel around both the United States and Canada over the last four years. Though I may not be the most international student to come to IPFW, I can safely say that I am glad I came to live in Fort Wayne and get a great education.
