About Fort Wayne

The city of Fort Wayne is the second largest city in the state of Indiana, with a population of nearly 250,000. It is located in northeastern Indiana and is within a 2-3 hour driving distance from Canada, as well as major cities like Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; and Indianapolis, Indiana. While you’re here, visit our symphony orchestra, various community theatre groups, zoo, botanical garden, art museum, professional sports games, community parks and programs. You’ll also find more than 300 places of worship, international grocery stores and restaurants. Also, the university campus is located near shopping malls, movie theaters, restaurants, and hotels and is easily reached by the public bus system.

There are four seasons in Fort Wayne: summer, fall, winter, and spring. Snow is common in the winter months, while temperatures change from an average low of 15°F/-9° C in January to an average high of 85° F/29° C in July.
