Penelope Lyon Houseman Scholarship in History
The Penelope Lyon Houseman Scholarship ($1000) is awarded every other year for a minimum of ten years to a history major who is a junior or senior, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester. The Department of History will determine eligibility and the winner will be selected by a committee of three or more faculty members of the department.
This scholarship was set up and funded by Professor Gerald Houseman of the political science department in memory of his late wife, Penelope Lyon Houseman, who was a devoted student of history.
