MAP-Works
What is MAP-Works?
MAP-Works is a survey for IPFW freshmen. The results will allow the student and IPFW staff to enhance success by providing strategies for success with customized, relevant information to help students get the most out of their first year of college.
What Do Students Get Out of It?
After completing the survey, MAP-Works will provide students with an extensive, personalized report about:
- How to meet their expectations
- What their peers are thinking
- How to be more successful in college
- What campus resources are avialable to help
Prizes Available
All students who complete the survey will receive a $2 coupon to Higher Grounds and will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $100 gift cards to Follett's IPFW Bookstore.
How Do Students Take the Survey?
1. Log into myIPFW.
2. Go to the "First Year" tab.
3. Click MAP-Works and take the survey.
4. The Higher Grounds coupon will print with the 3-page student report.

To RSVP for training please fill out the Qualtics Survey Software Form.
Below are the directions for creating a password in MAP-Works:
1. Go to https://ipfw.map-works.com
2. Once on the site, go to the Faculty/Staff section where it says..."Are you a new user?"
3. Click on sign-up (a drop down box will appear)
4. Enter your email address. A link will be sent to that email box.
5. Open your email and click the link sent to you. This should take you directly into the MAP-Works system.
6. Once you are in the system, go to "My Profile" (it is at the top right in small print next to sign out).
7. Please change your password to something you will remember.
After you have set-up your password:
1. On the left side of the home screen are Resources. The quick start video can be helpful in understanding more about the home page you are viewing. The online training system has a series of videos with more information about MAP-Works. Each video is rather short in length.
2. Click the info button at the top right of the page to view a sample survey and a sample student report "video."
3. Lastly, please take some time to complete a survey to get a better understanding of the types of questions students are asked.
