Progress Towards Degree
The Financial Aid office is required to monitor your progress towards your degree. There are a few different situations that may impact that progress:
- You must complete 67% of all attempted coursework
- You must maintain a cumulative grade point average dependent on how many credit hours you have completed
- You must complete your degree in a timely manner
Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress apply for the following types of financial aid: all state grant programs (including CVO), Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Work-Study, Federal Stafford Loan, and the Federal PLUS Loan.
IPFW offers many resources to assist you with meeting your academic goals. Some of these are included in the following:
- Your academic advisor can help you plan your best path to graduation
- The Center for Academic Support and Advancement (CASA) offers free tutoring assistance (KT G23)
- IPFW Counseling Center offers free counseling for personal matters (WU 111)
- Academic Student Achievement Program (ASAP) can help improve your school work habits (WU 118)
