IPFW English and Linguistics

Purpose and Goals of Organization

  • To teach and promote teamwork and cooperation with students interested in the various parts of English.
  • To better facilitate the study of various aspects of English.
  • To develop specialized groups focused on specific areas of English.
  • For this organization to be professional and academic, as well as providing social interactions with others of like interest.
  • To organize meetings and events that will help to strengthen the Department of English & Linguistics and help to educate those who study English.

Students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding communities who would like to participate in this organization.

Writer's Workshop

John Merhar has organized a monthly Writer's Workshop, held at Zia's Coffee Shop. These workshops focus on a variety of topics and are an excellent means to connect and share ideas with other local writers. If you have questions, please contact John Merhar.
