JobWorks has scholarships available to students who are finishing their studies and preparing to find a job. Applicants must be in their last year of school, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be receiving financial aid. If you are awarded the scholarship, the money can be used for Praxis testing fees, the license application fee, supplies and equipment for your classroom, and professional clothing. Applications are available in Neff Hall, Room 243, Neff Hall, Room 250, the Financial Aid Office, the Center for Women and Returning Adults, the IPFW Child Care Center, or on the JobWorks Web site.

Criteria: Students shall be Allen County, Indiana residents who demonstrate financial need. Students must be admitted as a major in elementary education. No scholarship will exceed the amount charged by IPFW for annual tuition. It is the donor's wish that scholarships be awarded to those students who shall express a willingness and intention to restore to the fund the amounts received by them, and the donor intends that recipients will have a moral, but not legal, obligation.

Criteria: Student must be a freshman admitted as a major in education. Student must be an Allen County, Indiana resident and have demonstrated financial need. Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) so that it is received at the federal processors by March 10, 2007.

Criteria: Student must be a minority student (defined as black or Hispanic) seeking a teaching certification. Student must be an Indiana resident and be enrolled full time. Student must be pursuing or intend to pursue a course of study that would enable the student upon graduation to teach in an accredited elementary or secondary school in Indiana. Continuing IPFW students who apply for this scholarship must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students enrolling in college for the first time.

Criteria: Student must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours and have sophomore standing or above and be either an undergraduate or graduate major in Education. Student must have earned an IPFW cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher for undergraduates, or an IPFW cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for a graduate student. This scholarship is awarded based on merit.

Criteria: Student must be majoring in Education with preference given to students concentrating in Social Studies Teaching. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is necessary as well as sophomore class standing or higher. The student must be a legal resident of Indiana.

Criteria: Applicant must be a returning adult student who are currently enrolled at IPFW. The applicant should have been out of high school five years or more (general non-traditional student). Applicants must be in good academic standing within their school, having a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. Preference will be given to students majoring in education or teaching fields. Financial need will be considered in the selection process but is not a singular criterion. Applicant must demonstrate in their personality and work a high level of caring for others. Student must complete a an Adell M. White Scholarship application. File the Adell M. White Scholarship application by Aug. 1, 2007.

Criteria: Student must be majoring in elementary education, history, political science, English, communication, theatre or library science. The student must have junior, senior or graduate class standing at IPFW the year of the award. The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The student must enroll full time each semester of the award (12-15 credit hours). File a 2007-08 Withers Scholarship application.
