Block I Admission Criteria

All students entering into BLOCK I of the Teacher Education program at IPFW must pass a Criminal History Background Check prior to being admitted to that Block. Thus, the criteria for admission to Block I will include:

1. Pass all areas of the PPST.

2. Completion of 45 credit hours with a minimum of 2.50 cumulative GPA including all coursework taken from previously attended institutions.

3. B or better in ENG W131, COM 114, EDUC W200; C or better in Quantitative Reasoning (math) course and EDUC K201; Pass EDUA F300.

4. Pass the 1st Portfolio Checkpoint.

5. Submit/Pass a Criminal History Background Check.

Information for the Criminal History Background Check may be obtained at the SOE Student Information Center in Neff Hall, Room 243.
