This page is designed to help keep you up to date on pertinent events, due dates, and deadlines within the School of Education. It is updated regularly, so you are encouraged to check it frequently. Last minute changes or updates are not always available.

As always, if you are unable to find the information you need, we urge you to contact a School of Education faculty or staff member directly.

October 2009

  • October 12-13 — Fall break. No classes.
  • October 19 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2010 registration begins for degree candidates, graduate students, and seniors.
  • October 16 — Praxis registration form due for the November 15 test date.
  • October 26 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2010 registration begins for juniors, honors students, and student athletes.
  • October 30 — Last day to drop a Fall semester class and receive a “W”; Credit-to-Audit deadline.

  • November 1 — Application deadline for Spring graduation
  • November 2 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2010 registration begins for sophomores.
  • November 9 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2010 registration begins for freshmen and other students.
  • November 15 – Praxis Test Date.
  • November 25-29 — Thanksgiving Break. No classes. Offices closed November 26-27.
  • November 30 –Deadline for Fall 2010 Student Teaching Applications.

  • January 1 — Graduation application deadline for Summer graduation; Offices closed.
  • January 9 — Praxis test date.
  • January 17 - Last day to drop class(es) with full refund.
  • January 18 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Offices closed.

  • February 1 — Graduation application deadline for Summer graduation.
  • February 1 — Withers Scholarship application due.
  • February 11 — Praxis registration form due for March 13 test date.

  • March 1 — School of Education Scholarship application due.
  • March 8-14 — Spring Break.
  • March 13 — Praxis test date. 
  • March 19 - Last day to drop a Fall semester class and receive a “W”; Credit-to-Audit deadline.

  • March 30 — Deadline for Spring 2011 Student Teaching Applications

  • April 15 — Last day to submit Declaration of Intention for T.E.A.M. I Registration to Neff Hall, Room 250 for Fall Semester.
