This page is designed to help keep you up to date on pertinent events, due dates, and deadlines within the School of Education. It is updated regularly, so you are encouraged to check it frequently. Last minute changes or updates are not always available.

As always, if you are unable to find the information you need, we urge you to contact a School of Education faculty or staff member directly.

October 2008

  • October 13-14 — Fall break. No classes.
  • October 20 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2008 registration begins for degree candidates, graduate students, and seniors.
  • October 16 — Praxis registration form due for the November 15 test date.
  • October 27 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2008 registration begins for juniors, honors students, and student athletes.
  • October 31 — Last day to drop a Fall semester class and receive a “W”; Credit-to-Audit deadline.

  • November 1 — Application deadline for Spring graduation
  • November 3 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2008 registration begins for sophomores.
  • November 10 — Winter Inter-session and Spring 2008 registration begins for freshmen and other students.
  • November 15 – Praxis Test Date.
  • November 26-30 — Thanksgiving Break. No classes. Offices closed November 27-28.

  • January 1 — Graduation application deadline for Summer graduation; Offices closed.
  • January 10 — Praxis test date.
  • January 18 - Last day to drop class(es) with full refund.
  • January 19 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Offices closed.

  • February 1 — Graduation application deadline for Summer graduation.
  • February 1 — Withers Scholarship application due.
  • February 12 — Praxis registration form due for March 14 test date.
  • February 20 —Application deadline for 2008-09 Transition to Teaching program.

  • March 1 — School of Education Scholarship application due.
  • March 9-15 — Spring Break.
  • March 14 — Praxis test date.

  • April 15 — Last day to submit Declaration of Intention for T.E.A.M. I Registration to Neff Hall, Room 250 for Fall Semester.
  • April 25 — Praxis test date.

  • July 20 — Last day to withdraw from a 6-week Summer II class and receive a “W”
  • July 26 — Praxis test (All tests offered) in CM lobby

  • August 18-22 – Walk-in advising and registration.
  • August 25 – Classes start.
