Professional Background

Il-Hee Kim is an Assistant Professor in the IPFW School of Education. He earned a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During his six years’ doctoral study, he served as a research assistant at the Center for the Study of Reading at the University of Illinois and worked with many elementary school teachers for various research projects. His major research interests are second language literacy and children’s literature discussion. He is currently teaching reading methods and educational psychology courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
