Professional Background
Zeynep Isik-Ercan is an assistant professor in early childhood. She teaches courses related to pedagogy and early childhood education (Pre K- 3). Her current research interests are preservice teacher education, professional development and social contexts of education, particularly the experiences of culturally diverse children and immigrants. During her doctoral studies, she extensively worked with preservice teachers and cooperative teachers (Pre K-3rd grade) as a field supervisor and mentor. She is a member of American Educational Research Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children and Midwestern Educational Research Association.
