Business Economics and Public Policy Concentration

The Department of Economics offers a concentration in Economics through the Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences.  Programs that are offered is a Business Economics and Public Policy Area Concentration for a B.S.B.

The business economics and public policy concentration explores the economic environments in which businesses must operate, as well as the interrelationships among micro- and macroeconomics conditions, private-sector decision making, and governmental programs. You have opportunities to study economic problems and their alternative solutions. You may also study aspects of employment, inflation, international trade, and other economic subject areas.

If you wish to become a professional economist, you should prepare for graduate study by taking additional courses in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and/or research methods.

To earn the business economics and public policy area concentration, you must earn a grade of C or better in each of the following courses:
