The dean of students office may be contacted regarding any student-related issue. Either direct assistance or referral to an appropriate individual or office will be provided.
The Dean advises faculty and staff about policies and procedures governing students, chairs the Behavioral Intervention Team, leads projects related to student issues and services, and serves as a member of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs staff.
The Associate Dean advises faculty and staff about student conduct/behavioral issues, processes conduct complaints against students, and advises students who are pursuing grade appeals and other complaints.
The Administrative Assistant refers requests and inquiries to the Dean/Associate Dean as appropriate, provides information about late full withdrawal procedures, monitors student progress in AlcoholEdu, and implements ODOS assessment instruments.
In addition, the dean oversees Services for Students with Disabilities, and the Student Assistance Program and the associate dean coordinates the STARS orientation program.
