Diversity Initiatives Showcase

The goals of this event are to inform the IPFW community of exemplary diversity initiatives on campus, identify best practices, and plan for the future.

All faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend part or all of the event, learn about IPFW’s diversity initiatives, and enjoy free snacks throughout the morning!

Schedule

9:00 am Chancellor’s Welcome and Introduction to the Showcase
9:30 am Showcase Highlights
10:00 am Diversity Showcase: exemplary initiatives from all schools and divisions: poster sessions, PowerPoint presentations, videos, displays
1:00 pm Showcase concludes

How you can participate:

  • prepare a poster or PowerPoint presentation about your diversity initiative (i.e., department, program, or organization)
  • encourage students, faculty, and staff to attend the showcase
  • volunteer to serve as a greeter or guide at the showcase and/or recruit others to do this
  • volunteer to serve as a reviewer and/or help recruit students, faculty, and staff to serve as reviewers for an hour or two during the 10am – 1pm showcase
  • reviewers will attend one training session prior to the showcase
  • each reviewer will turn in a brief report
  • each student who serves as a reviewer will receive a bookstore coupon in the amount of $25
