Society Futuram - IPFW’s Bequest Society
Members of Society Futuram have generously provided for future generations by including a gift to IPFW in their will. Naming IPFW as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or annuity is an additional avenue in which one may assist the future generations of students. Our legal receptacle for such gifts is the Indiana-Purdue Foundation at Fort Wayne. The use of such funds must be directed in a will and supported by a letter of intent filed with IPFW’s Office of Development. Donors who wish to participate in the Society Futuram should seek the advice of their legal and financial advisors or Executive Director of Development Linda Ruffolo, 481-6659, to arrange for these kinds of gifts.
Society Futuram: What is the Society? What Does It Mean?
The Latin language is as vital to culture and education as the need for monetary support is vital to most things of value in our world. Latin has been described as a language with “vigor and precision” and “an admirable vehicle for the expression of serious thought.” Linda Ruffolo, Executive Director of Development, chose Latin words to provide a motto and a name for the Planned Giving/Bequest Society. The motto for this effort at IPFW is “futuram carpe diem.” This simply means “for the future, seize today.”
Your gift can be as large as you can comfortably give. It can be as specific or as general as your desires dictate. One thing is certain: Your generous planning today will secure for future generations exciting and innovative educational advantages and opportunities.
It is hoped that you will let the development staff and your legal and financial advisers help you seize the day and secure the educational future at IPFW. Linda Ruffolo asks you join her in membership of a meaningful organization: Society Futuram.
