ARET graduates in northeast Indiana work in drafting, architectural detailing, construction expediting, estimating, or sales. Graduates with experience hold jobs as senior drafting personnel, architectural job captains, construction supervisors, and contractors.
The Associate of Science (A.S.) program helps you prepare for technical employment with architects, engineers, builders, materials suppliers, and related government agencies. This program also prepares you to work toward a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Technology (CNET).
This program is not available to new students as of Fall 2014. The former ARET A.S. in 2 years + CNET in 2 years (2+2 program) was replaced by the new 4-year CNET degree. Any student admitted to ARET prior to Fall 2014 may complete the A.S. degree, as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment at IPFW.
