IPFW has been working in concert with Dave Maynard of the Northeast Indiana Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI-NEIC) to provide local businesses and the northeast Indiana region with project management training. Most Project Management courses award PDUs upon completion and offered at both the Fort Wayne and Warsaw Campuses.
"As Director of Project Management at Group Delphi, I had set the personal goal of obtaining the PMP credential. To do so, I knew that it would be important to take some sort of supporting class but circumstances did not permit me to commit to classes at night or on the weekend. That's why the online class appealed to me. It allowed me to study at my own pace, in the comfort of my home or anyplace that had Internet access. I was pleased with the online presence and great communication by the instructor, Dave Maynard, who was very supportive and quick to respond to my questions. I chose to sit for the exam only when I felt I was ready and was able to pass on the first try. Working with my associate Project Managers, we immediately began integrating the PMI processes into our daily work methods and plan to continue developing these professional standards moving forward."
