IPFW Division of Continuing Studies
Most on-line courses at IPFW use Blackboard Learn, which is an online course management system. If your class is not using Blackboard Learn you will need to contact your instructor for the technical specific requirements.
Each course is unique and may have its own specific technical requirements. Please check with your professor for any additional requirements you may need for your class.
You will need access to the Internet. You will also need a user ID and password to access your Blackboard Learn course. It is the same as your my.ipfw ID and password.
You will need access to a computer. If you don't have a home computer. Workstations are available for IPFW students on the IPFW campus, designated learning centers throughout Indiana and at most public libraries.

If you are planning on using a computer at your place of employment you may run into problems with their network security system. If you have persistent difficulty getting into the course, contact your IT staff. IPFW's IT staff has no control over such variables, nor do they have any idea what particular piece of the security system might be causing the problem. The best advice, of course, is to clear your plans with your employers' IT staff before starting class.
If you are having problems with your Internet service please contact your Internet service provider (ISP), directly. If you have any questions specific to your class, please contact your instructor.
