IPFW Online

Complaint Resolution

Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is committed to providing online students with an exceptional educational experience that is transparent, efficient, stimulating and fair. If, as a prospective or current student, you feel that your experience with an online learning course or program from IPFW has not lived up to those standards, you may register a complaint.

Filing Complaints at IPFW

If you are having problems with a course, we encourage you to contact the instructor first; the instructor’s contact information should be available on the course website. If contacting the instructor is not appropriate or has proven ineffective, contact Online Learning.

If the problems are not related to course content, course delivery or grades, contacts for some of the important offices on campus are listed below:

IPFW administrative offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time and observe standard U.S. holidays.

Filing Complaints Outside of IPFW

If you feel your complaint has not been properly addressed within IPFW, you are free to enter your complaint with other organizations at the state and national levels.

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education authorizes IPFW under the authority of Indiana University and Purdue University to offer undergraduate- and graduate-level certificates, as well as baccalaureate and master’s degrees. You may submit a complaint at the ICHE website here.

The national level, IPFW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Information regarding the complaint process can be found on at the HLC website here.

As an online IPFW student, you can also submit a complaint regarding an IPFW course in the state in which you are residing while taking the course.
