Japanese Saturday School

Japanese Saturday School

Welcome to the IPFW Japanese Saturday School

We are very happy for visiting the JSS web page which is developed JSS teachers, students, parents and all school related people.  It is indeed our pleasure if all this page visitors find beneficial resources and helpful information for children’s learning.

The Japanese Saturday School at IPFW is the outgrowth of a recognized need in the Fort Wayne business community to provide Japanese language education for the families of representatives of Japanese firms located in the area.  The JSS annually enrolls students from kindergarten to high school who study language and mathematics according to the general curriculum prescribed by the ministry of Education of Japan.

Since its beginning in 2006, the program has been expanded to include non-Japanese children and adults, resulting in a truly diverse, cross-cultural experience for students of all ages.

Supported by The Japanese Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs
