What is the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship?

The Tuition Incentive Program is a scholarship program offered at IPFW.  Qualified students who register for classes starting in the fall semester of 2014 will receive a scholarship of 50% off regular tuition.  


Which students qualify for the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship?

Students who qualify:

  • Must have never earned a bachelor’s degree at IPFW, and
  • Must have left IPFW as an undergraduate resident student with 2.0 GPA or higher, and
  • Must have completed 60 - 119 credit hours toward degree completion, and
  • Must have last registered no later than Spring 2012
  • Must Re-enroll Fall 2014
  • Must currently reside in the State of Indiana.


What does the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship cover?  

The Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship will reduce in-state, regular tuition by 50%.  It will not cover any fees, including course material, lab or online course fees. 

 

What happens if I qualify but I don’t register for Fall 2014?

This is a one-time offer only for qualifying students who register in the Fall of 2014. 

 

How many semesters can I qualify for the scholarship?

For qualifying students who start back to school in the Fall of 2014, and maintain eligibility, the scholarship will apply until the degree is complete. 

 

How do I maintain eligibility for the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship?

Students in the Tuition Incentive Program must:

  • Stay continuously enrolled each fall and spring semester until graduation
  • Successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours each fall and spring semester
  • Maintain a cumulative 2.0 or higher GPA

 

How do I know if I’m making continuous progress towards finishing my degree?

Students who have been awarded the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship will be required to meet with their Academic Advisor each semester. 

 

What happens if I don’t meet one of the criteria for continued eligibility?

If a student does not stay continuously enrolled each fall and spring semester until graduation (minimum 6 credit hours) and maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA, their participation in the Tuition Incentive Program will be terminated.  Student can still continue their degree at IPFW but will not be awarded the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship. 

 

Do I have to take classes full-time?   

You must make continuous progress towards your bachelor’s degree by successfully completing a minimum of 6 credits hours every fall and spring semester until you graduate. 

 

What happens if I have attended another school since attending IPFW?

Students who have attended another college/university since attending IPFW will just have to submit official transcripts when they complete their “Reentering Student” application. 

 

Is the Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship available only for certain majors? 

No – qualifying students can earn any bachelor’s degree at IPFW. 

 

Does the TIP apply to Associate or Master’s degrees?

No – only Bachelor’s degrees.
