Freshman World Studies Class at Wayne New Tech Academy

The freshman World Studies class at Wayne New Tech Academy (housed in Wayne High School) spent three weeks studying conflicts from around the world. From the genocide in Darfur to wars and uprisings, students were required to research the conflicts and create a visual interpretation. The students studied the origins and outcomes, wrote descriptions in both English and Spanish, and then submitted their work to be curated for this exhibition. The drawings, paintings and three-dimensional works in the gallery represent a small selection of more than 100 pieces created by this group of teenagers.
