Ms. Beeching received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics in 1967 from the University of Utah and an Associates of Science degree in Interior Design in 1986 from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She has practiced interior design in the Fort Wayne area for over 30 years, and won awards for her participation in the Parade of Homes.  She has worked with builders on both commercial office space and residential models and homes.

Ms. Beeching also is an artist and has painted portraits and murals for design clients, as well as oil paintings inspired by her more than 40 trips to Central America studying the ancient Maya mythology and art. Ms. Beeching has been teaching classes in interior design as an associate faculty member since 2009 and a class for IPFW’s Continuing Education entitled Woman in the Shaman’s Body, a class about women as healers and leaders in ancient history.
