Three state-of-the art design studios containing Apple computers with industry standard software and worktables are central to the instructional process in the Department of Visual Communication and Design.
Also available are a print room equipped with large format color printers and tabloid flatbed scanners. Dedicated photography darkrooms and a lighting studio are available to VCD students.
Additional workspaces exist in the Mobile Classroom Building, where many design foundation courses are taught and a dedicated Interior Design classroom and storage facilty are located. Design history courses and guest lectures are housed in an impressive 75-seat smart lecture theater.
A hallway gallery displays VCD poster holdings and examples of successful studio projects.
