Born and raised in Quebec, Canada, Vivianne has held the positions of second flute of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and second flute/piccolo of the Drummondville Symphony Orchestra (Quebec) since September 2012. Previously, Vivianne was a member of the Civic Orchestra in Chicago and has been a freelancer in the greater Midwest and Montreal areas. She has a Performance Certificate (2012) and a Master degree in Performance (2010) from DePaul University, under the tutelage of Mathieu Dufour. In 2008, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Performance for McGill University, studying with Carolyn Christie and Denis Bluteau. Vivianne has taken part in summer festivals and masterclasses with Robert Langevin, Emmanuel Pahud, Carol Wincent, Maxence Larrieux and Jeanne Baxstresser.
Vivianne received third prize in the Wind Division of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra competition in both 2008 and 2011, as well as the best performance of a Canadian piece. In 2010, she received a grant from the Canada Art Council to pursue her studies with Mr. Dufour and in 2006, Vivianne was the winner of the McGill concerto competition, performing the Reinecke Concerto with the McGill Symphony Orchestra.
