Having earned a Bachelor’s from Concordia University Nebraska and a Master’s from IPFW, Dianne taught in both elementary and high school settings for 44 years. The last 23 years were spent at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne. She loved directing the concert bands and running the marching band! Both were very successful. Symphonic, the top band, earned many Gold ratings with Distinction at Organizational contest. They toured somewhere in the country every year and learned what it meant to perform. The Marching Band went to State Finals 9 years in a row, 12 times overall. In 2012, they were Indiana Class C State Runners-Up and in 2013 State Champions. She has been blessed by being named a Michiana Outstanding Educator of the Year and a Teacher of Excellence at Concordia.

During her teaching career, Dianne served as a President for the Indiana Bandmaster and is still involved with that organization. She also belongs to the Phi Beta Mu Band Fraternity. Retired now, she love gardening and setting my own schedule – and staying involved with music!
